Things such as crepes (pancakes), Boeuf Bourguingnon (beef stew), Coq au vin (chicken in a wine based sauce) and quiche Lorraine (no translation needed) but what they are renowned for is their cheeses, breads and breakfast pastries. Also a treat not to be missed is their sweet delicacies such as candied fruit, macarons and crystallised flowers!

France enjoys mild to warm temperatures throughout the year, although there are regional differences, with a warmer, more Mediterranean climate in the South and a cooler, sometimes wetter climate in the North.

Most travellers enjoy visiting France in spring and summer to benefit from the slightly warmer temperatures but equally autumn in France is lovely with it's vibrant autumn colours and temperatures reaching 16-20°C, which makes it an ideal time to enjoy tours around the mountains, cities and countryside.

August, is the month to avoid as most of the country closes down for the locals to enjoy the sunshine themselves. Winter is one of the best times to explore Paris, as the crowds are fewer, yet the restaurants are still lively with locals.
