Mendoza Winery

Mendoza Winery

The Mendoza wine region, located in the far western expanse of Argentina, is one of Argentina’s most important wine regions, accounting for nearly two thirds of the country’s entire wine production.

A visit of two contrasting wineries in the beautiful oasis of Luján will let you appreciate the innovations that have been applied during the last century. You will also enjoy splendid views of the Andes, vineyards and olive trees.

First you will visit a traditional winery where the old concrete tanks are still in use. You will discover centenary buildings that were specially adapted to isolate the wine from the heat of the summer, where thick mud-and-stray walls combined with ceilings with several layers of cane protect our most appreciated product. Your visit will end with a tasting of three different wines.

New technology brought the stainless steel tanks and the possibility of exactly controlling the temperature of the wine. You will find out how this new development transformed winemaking in Argentina and introduced Malbecs to the International Market. This visit will also conclude with a wine tasting.
